Reflecting on Impact: Highlights from the HAVEN AGM
On the 28th of April, we held our Annual General Meeting (AGM), and it was heartening to see such a large turnout from our South Canterbury community. Having so many supporters, partners, and community members in the room made the evening one to remember, reminding us of the strong network of support behind the mahi we do.
Celebrating a Year of Milestone Achievements
The meeting was an opportunity to reflect on a year of significant progress. We are incredibly proud of how much has been accomplished, with several key milestones that have strengthened our ability to serve:
- Growth in our Team: We’ve welcomed new expertise through several new staff contracts, expanding our capacity to provide specialized support.
- Infrastructure & Funding: From securing vital new funding to completing our office renovations, we have built a stronger, more sustainable foundation for our operations.
- Regional Impact: We shared significant statistics across our various sectors, highlighting the reach of our team’s dedicated work in supporting and educating the community against domestic violence.
Gratitude for Our Community
The success of HAVEN isn’t just down to our staff; it’s fueled by the community that stands with us. Seeing so many familiar and new faces at the AGM was a powerful reminder of our shared mission.
“We felt very proud to reflect on a year of such massive achievements,” the team shared. “It was wonderful to have the community there to share in those successes and to see the impact of our collective efforts in South Canterbury.”
